Literature on my topic vs. Literature on research project design
Over the weeks since I started Module Two I have been swimming around in a variety of different literature and noting down anything that I feel will be beneficial towards my inquiry topic. I would say the first four weeks were purely dominated by literature on my topic and beginning to explore where exactly I would like to focus on within this.
Alongside this and after satisfying my decision on where I wanted to research, I began to shift where I am looking into research project design and studying the varying approaches, methodologies and components that will help me shape my inquiry.
I have found it challenging to work out which of the two specific literature areas to focus on. Do I spend time exploring more literature options that I can add to my review list and intend to delve into during the inquiry, or more time exploring scholars discussion into how to construct the inquiry.
The conclusion I have come to is that I am trying to find a 50:50 balance between the two as I believe that in the same way during Module One I worked simultaneously on the essay and the diagram component. By doing this I was able to learn discover something further in regards to my professional practice that added to both elements.
I am hoping that the same approach will help me in my inquiry design, ensuring not to 'open the jam jar' of my gathered literature that I intend to research into during the inquiry stage.
I have also found a specific piece of literature vital in assisting me with constructing my inquiry:
"Doing Your Research Project: A Guide For First Time Researchers" by Judith Bell & Stephen Waters"
This book has been my best friend over the past few weeks and has resonated with me in the way that it is written making the process of research design very clear to digest. I thoroughly recommend and would love to hear if anyone else has come across any other inspiring literature on research design.

I found this literature also helpful. I have taken a few citations from the Core Text 'Qualitative research for physical culture' Markula & Silk. This was recommended by Maria on a Skype call. I also found this guide online which has proven useful.

However, I'll admit I have even googled 'Paradigms For Dummies' this Module. Some of my findings are on my blog. Charlie S x
